RSpec’s story runner is a fairly new kid on the block, the plain text stories even more so. New or not, the story runner is an invaluable addition to any Rails testing tool belt. It’s beauty is most fully realized in integration testing.
Since its initial release there have been relatively few resources around the interwebs into getting them up and running. Fortunately David Chelimsky, lead dev of RSpec, gave a talk at ETEC. His blog post has the details. The slides are fantastic and they contain the best explanation of integration testing with RSpec that I have seen.
